This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Engages with attorneys and claims professionals to review assigned projects.
• Prepares legal documents such as responses to subpoenas, affidavits, and correspondence regarding insurance coverage.
• Conducts research and analyzes statutes, regulations, legal articles, judicial rulings, and other legal materials; delivers written analyses to attorneys to support legal inquiries.
• Aids attorneys in the production of documents related to subpoenas and compliance issues.
• Creates and maintains reports on litigated cases.
• Keeps an updated spreadsheet of approved defense and coverage attorneys.
• Undertakes additional related duties as assigned.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities.
• Knowledge of legal terminology and principles, research techniques, court pleadings and procedures, and other relevant areas.
• Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Outstanding organizational capabilities and attention to detail.
• Excellent time management skills with a proven track record of meeting deadlines.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and occasionally high-pressure environment.
• Capability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion and sound judgment.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Teams, Slack, and other related software.
• An associate degree in Paralegal Studies or a related field is required; a Bachelor’s degree in Paralegal Studies or a related field is preferred.
• A paralegal certificate is mandatory.
• Previous experience in the insurance industry is preferred.
• Experience in litigation is preferred.
