This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico.
• Execute the deployment of bare-metal servers in accordance with the specified requirements agreed upon with the client.
• Install, configure, and validate Linux operating systems, ensuring the proper functioning of base services, packages, and repositories.
• Configure the network at the operating system level, including interfaces, VLANs, routes, bonding, and SSH, ensuring persistent and secure connectivity.
• Implement initial security measures and hardening (permissions configuration, firewall, among others).
• Deploy, configure, and test Whitestack software associated with the bare-metal server implementation according to defined requirements.
• Build and maintain Ansible playbooks/roles; standardize repetitive tasks.
• Conduct testing and troubleshooting to verify the correct installation and deployment of physical infrastructure.
• Prepare and keep documentation related to the project's infrastructure up to date.
• Analyze and address potential issues that may arise during the infrastructure implementation.
• Channel client requests related to infrastructure to the appropriate internal departments.
• Participate in supervised maintenance windows for intervention in critical systems.
• Experience: Over 2 years of recent experience in Linux server administration (installation and configuration).
• Experience in Cloud infrastructure services and/or Datacenter.
• Education: Graduates in Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or a related field.
• Currently in the final year of the professional degree.
• Specific Knowledge / Technical Requirements: Intermediate Linux.
• Administration of Linux servers (installation, configuration, and troubleshooting).
• Management of disks, Linux networking (bonding on bare-metal servers), Bash scripting.
• Networking knowledge.
• Intermediate level.
• Configuration of IP/VLANs, routing, netplan, and connectivity validation.
• Basic Docker experience.
• Experience in spinning up and deploying containers.
• Basic to intermediate level Ansible.
• Building and maintaining playbooks.
• Simultaneous configuration of servers, switches, or other networking equipment.
• Basic Git knowledge.
• Repository management: clone, push, pull, commit.
• Python scripting for task automation in Linux environments.
• English: Advanced written English (for reading/writing technical documentation).
• Basic spoken English (functional, technical).
• Desirable (not mandatory): Experience with Telco operators or technology providers in critical mission production environments.
• CCNA certification or equivalent.
• Interaction with APIs via Python.
• Automation and validation using Python libraries for servers and networking equipment (Paramiko, Fabric, Salt, Netmiko, NAPALM).
• Experience using roles/handlers in Ansible.
