This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Modify and validate target text to comply with U.S. healthcare standards.
• Translate and review content in the medical and Life Sciences fields, which includes patient communications, clinical documentation, and healthcare terminology.
• Leverage Life Sciences knowledge across healthcare, medical devices, pharmaceuticals, and clinical environments.
• Operate within stringent quality frameworks and comply with ISO 17100 quality standards.
• Complete secure smartphone-based login and identity verification processes.
• Adhere closely to terminology and reference materials.
• Provide lists of projects or references that showcase previous work in regulated medical markets.
• Confirm understanding of pertinent U.S. healthcare regulations and patient privacy laws.
• Perform a domain-specific translation or review assessment.
• Execute assigned tasks with a high level of quality and timely delivery.
• Native-level proficiency in Romanian.
• Proficiency in English.
• Must reside physically in the United States.
• Must possess access to a smartphone for secure identity verification.
• A graduate degree in translation, linguistics, or language studies, OR a graduate degree in another field along with 2 years of full-time professional translation experience, OR 5 years of full-time professional translation experience.
• Capability to follow terminology and reference materials accurately.
• Professional translation and localization experience in Medical/Life Sciences sectors.
• Proven experience translating for healthcare, medical devices, pharmaceuticals, or clinical environments.
• Familiarity with U.S. healthcare regulations and patient privacy guidelines.
• Ability to comply with ISO 17100 quality standards.
• Reliable availability and commitment; most tasks require at least 2 hours per day or 10 hours per week.
• As a 1099 contractor, responsible for personal tax obligations.
