This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in South Dakota.

• Deliver remote counseling services to children, adolescents, adults, couples, families, and groups.

• Work collaboratively with clients to identify their concerns, set counseling goals, and formulate actionable treatment plans.

• Ensure accurate and timely clinical documentation in accordance with all state, federal, and company regulations (including HIPAA).

• Engage in ongoing professional development through workshops, meetings, and training opportunities.

• Incorporate Christian faith and psychological best practices into therapy as appropriate.

• Refer clients to additional resources or specialists as necessary.

• Participate in occasional community outreach or ministry initiatives that align with Light Counseling’s mission.

• Provide clinical supervision or mentorship to interns and residents (if qualified).

• Carry out other assigned duties.

• Master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, or a related discipline from an accredited institution.

• Active, unrestricted license in South Dakota (LPC, LMFT, or LCSW).

• Strong commitment to Christian faith and active involvement in a local church.

• Updated CAQH profile and Professional Liability Insurance.

• Successful completion of background and reference checks.

• No restrictions to bill insurance payers.

• Preferred experience with Mood Disorders, Eating Disorders, Play Therapy, Couples/Marriage Counseling, and/or Child Populations.

• Preferred specialized training in trauma-focused therapies (e.g., EMDR, TF-CBT).
