This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.
• Conduct individual tele-therapy sessions for K–12 students referred by participating schools.
• Employ short-term, evidence-based approaches such as CBT, DBT, and solution-focused therapy.
• Address a variety of issues including anxiety, grief, trauma, academic stress, and family or peer conflicts.
• Provide services to a diverse range of student populations, including multilingual learners and those lacking insurance.
• Collaborate with school counselors, family resource managers, and administrative teams.
• Engage in family outreach when necessary to ensure continuity of care.
• Complete all clinical documentation (intake, progress, and discharge notes) within 48 hours.
• Maintain compliance with all licensure board regulations, HIPAA, FERPA, and program-specific standards.
• Must be licensed or license-eligible in Virginia as LPC, LCSW, LMFT, or an equivalent qualification.
• Residents should actively pursue licensure and be eligible for clinical supervision.
• A minimum of 1 year of clinical experience working with children, adolescents, or school-aged youth is required.
• Previous experience in school-based therapy, community mental health, or tele-health is preferred.
• Familiarity with trauma-informed care and crisis response is a plus.
• Proficiency in evidence-based interventions (CBT, DBT, solution-focused, narrative therapy) is essential.
• Strong skills in time management, organization, and documentation are necessary.
• Dedication to culturally responsive, strengths-based, and trauma-informed care is expected.
