This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Connecticut, +3 more states.
• Quotes and binds new business policies by utilizing multiple Carrier rating platforms for direct quoting.
• Completes new business applications specifically for the surplus lines market.
• Collaborates closely with our producers and carrier underwriters to evaluate risks and establish pricing and product eligibility.
• Delivers outstanding customer service and follow-up by promptly responding to client calls and emails.
• Supports customer retention through various contact methods and conducts annual insurance policy reviews.
• Proactively identifies and processes policy transactions, explaining any resulting impacts to customers.
• Assists with policy billing, including invoicing and monitoring of agency billed payments.
• Effectively manages and utilizes time to ensure the department meets required service levels, enhancing customer satisfaction outcomes.
• Engages in cross-selling additional insurance solutions when appropriate.
• A minimum of two years of consistent employment in an independent agency setting with an emphasis on quoting commercial lines business.
• Experience in excess and surplus lines.
• Currently holds and maintains the necessary insurance licenses.
• Must acquire and maintain a Massachusetts non-resident license if not already licensed in Massachusetts.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, along with the ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
• Capable of prioritizing tasks and reviewing, recording, and organizing data from various sources.
