License Renewal Engineer Consultant 2 – Electrical, Nuclear

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Conduct System Scoping, Screening, and Aging Management Review of nuclear plant systems to support SLR applications in line with NEI 17-01 and current industry best practices.

• Work collaboratively with engineering and regulatory teams to ensure adherence to NRC regulations and fulfill license extension commitments.

• Execute engineering program basis documentation, validate data, track engineering changes, and manage configuration control.

• Plan necessary inspections to comply with NRC regulations and license renewal obligations.

• Evaluate inspection work orders to confirm that license renewal criteria are satisfied.

• Engage with clients and/or the NRC in a capacity as a technical expert.

• Stay informed about developments in aging management regulations, methodologies, techniques, and operational experiences.

• Promote a culture of continuous improvement, innovative technology, and cross-functional teamwork.

⛳️ Requirements

• ABET-accredited Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.

• A minimum of 10 years of experience in engineering, licensing engineering, program engineering, design engineering, power plant inspection, or AI, preferably in the nuclear sector or a highly regulated industry.

• Proven track record of producing precise, high-quality technical documentation in a highly regulated setting.

• Knowledge of engineering documentation systems, nuclear QA/QC protocols, and configuration management practices.

• Strong systems thinking capabilities with the ability to balance innovation against compliance, safety, and traceability.
