License-Eligible Clinician/Supervisee, Student Assistance Program K-12

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.

📋 Description

• Conduct individual tele-therapy sessions for K–12 students referred by participating educational institutions.

• Employ short-term, evidence-based therapeutic approaches such as CBT, DBT, and solution-focused therapy.

• Tackle a variety of issues including anxiety, grief, trauma, academic pressure, and conflicts with family or peers.

• Offer services to a diverse range of student populations, including multilingual learners and those lacking insurance coverage.

• Collaborate with school counselors, family resource managers, and administrative staff.

• Participate in family outreach when suitable to ensure continuity of care.

• Complete all necessary clinical documentation (intake, progress, and discharge notes) within a 48-hour timeframe.

• Adhere to all licensure board regulations, as well as HIPAA, FERPA, and program-specific standards.


⛳️ Requirements

• Must be licensure license-eligible in Virginia as LPC, LCSW, LMFT, or an equivalent credential.

• Residents should be actively pursuing licensure and must be eligible for clinical supervision.

• At least 1 year of clinical experience working with children, adolescents, or school-aged youth is required.

• Previous experience in school-based therapy, community mental health, or telehealth is preferred.

• Familiarity with trauma-informed care and crisis intervention is advantageous.

• Proficient in evidence-based interventions (CBT, DBT, solution-focused, narrative therapy).

• Strong skills in time management, organization, and documentation are essential.

• A commitment to culturally responsive, strengths-based, and trauma-informed care is necessary.

• Must be comfortable working in a virtual care setting.

• Reliable communication and consistent attendance are critical job responsibilities.
