• Create PvP maps and combat areas that deliver balanced, engaging, and competitive multiplayer gaming experiences.
• Work collaboratively with Combat Design, Weapon Design, Character Design, Gameplay, Art, and QA teams to ensure maps effectively support combat mechanics, abilities, movement, and overall PvP equilibrium.
• Organize and engage in playtests, evaluate player behavior and feedback, and refine layouts, routes, pacing, and combat dynamics.
• Monitor level production progress, assist in task planning, and help identify gameplay or production risks throughout the development process.
• Collaborate closely with gameplay programmers and technical teams to ensure that PvP levels fulfill technical specifications, performance objectives, and gameplay requirements.
• 3–5+ years of experience in Game Design, specifically in FPS Level Design.
• Experience contributing to at least one AAA title.
• A robust portfolio showcasing refined PvP levels and a solid grasp of multiplayer gameplay flow and pacing.
• In-depth knowledge of PvP design principles, combat balance, routes, sightlines, and player behavior.
• Proficiency in grayboxing and level creation using game engines.
• Capability to work collaboratively with Gameplay, Combat, Weapon, Character Design, and QA teams.
• Strong communication abilities and receptiveness to feedback.
• Aptitude for meeting deadlines, managing priorities, and iterating based on testing and feedback.
