This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• As a Lending Manager (Back End), you will lead, manage, and expand the team of Closers/Funders, regularly communicating weekly, monthly, quarterly, and yearly objectives for both the team and the company, ensuring that the team's expectations are not only met but surpassed.
• You will also co-manage the Loan Assistant team focusing on post-closing, recordation, and file audits only.
• Your role will involve innovating new and improved methods to achieve company KPIs.
• You will proactively oversee the mortgage closing pipeline, providing guidance and feedback to the closing team.
• You will manage and scale final document services with internal team members proactively.
• You will maintain accountability for individual team performance by documenting discussions in Bamboo/15Five and promoting a culture of high performance.
• You will foster a culture of teamwork and camaraderie through team meetings and individual 1:1 check-ins.
• You will balance workloads as necessary to meet company SLAs.
• You will serve as a resource for the team regarding escalations, inquiries, and exceptions.
• You will collaborate closely with the Sales, Loan Assistants, and Bridge Loan Specialist teams to deliver timely and accurate services to all parties.
• You will work in partnership with the Lending Manager (Front End) to ensure a seamless transition of files to closing from processing/underwriting, ensuring effective communication across all departments.
• You will assist the Head of Lending, Director of Lending Operations, and Lending Manager (Front End) in identifying process and policy gaps within the closing and post-closing functions.
• Once gaps are identified, you will draft changes to processes, procedures, and policies for review, training, and implementation.
• You will follow up to guarantee that new processes/policies/procedures are embraced and functioning effectively.
• You will continually seek to learn and grow while supporting the learning experiences of others; acting as a mentor and resource for colleagues within and outside of your team.
• You will establish best practices to ensure the efficient operation of the team by identifying and implementing necessary changes to the process flow.
• You will undertake ad-hoc projects as they arise and always be prepared to support your team wherever needed.
• Proven experience in managing a mortgage loan closing and funding department.
• Demonstrated experience in leading and coaching a team, contributing to their success.
• You have communicated and collaborated with customers in a remote setting.
• Strong knowledge of Conventional mortgage products and the policies and guidelines set forth by Fannie Mae/Freddie Mac; understanding of Regulatory Mortgage Compliance, and local, state, and federal government regulations, as well as private investors and insurers.
• You possess a passion for delivering outstanding customer service; you consistently go the extra mile and strive to ‘wow’ the customer.
• You have an exceptional attention to detail: you meticulously check your work and ensure accuracy in everything you do.

• Proven success in working 100% remotely in previous roles.
• Education: High school diploma or equivalent experience.
• A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience, including 5 years in a leadership capacity.
