This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• The Legal Subrogation Recovery Specialist is responsible for identifying and safeguarding subrogation and recovery rights in areas such as auto subrogation (both insured and uninsured), Public Entity, and Fixed Property cases by seeking reimbursement from liable third parties.
• Manages an independent caseload of approximately 200 files, utilizing knowledge of relevant laws, statutes, and tort remedies to effectively recover property damage funds for our clients.
• Provides support to the Carl Warren & Company (CWC) Subrogation program.
• Evaluates each case to determine potential subrogation and recovery opportunities.
• Applies relevant rules, statutes, and tort remedies to specific fact patterns to identify possible resources for demanding reimbursement from third-party payers.
• Leverages available resources to investigate claims and accurately pinpoint individual claimants and other legally accountable entities for subrogation or recovery claims.
• Reviews and assesses accident or incident reports, individual claims, and other documentation concerning funds disbursed by clients.
• Informs other parties, insurance carriers, and/or attorneys of the client’s subrogation or recovery interest; negotiates settlements and other actions with these parties.
• Educates clients about their recovery rights and provides recommendations for settlements, subject to the client's final approval.
• Prepares and maintains case files, correspondence, legal documents, and other relevant information related to subrogation claims; coordinates activities involving the accounting of payments received.
• Stays informed about legal filing statutes within casefile jurisdictions to safeguard the client’s legal rights and remedies.
• Performs other assigned duties.
• Minimum Claims Experience: 3–5 years
• Experience with Carl Warren & Company Subrogation
• Paralegal Certificate is mandatory

• Attention to Detail & Documentation: Responsible for preparing and maintaining precise case files, correspondence, legal documents, and all relevant information related to subrogation claims.
