This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Massachusetts.
• Oversee and progress both affirmative and defensive litigation cases, ensuring timely tracking of case statuses, deadlines, and essential next steps.
• Collaborate closely with the Senior Legal Operations Specialist to prepare case files, organize documentation related to matters, and keep accurate records for all active cases.
• Work in partnership with outside counsel to collect necessary materials, respond to requests, and facilitate the advancement of cases through every phase of the litigation lifecycle.
• Coordinate internally with relevant teams such as Operations, Finance, and Servicing to gather information and documentation required for legal matters.
• Assist the Legal Department in implementing, managing, and enhancing tools, technology systems, and organizational workflows that promote team efficiency.
• Master and apply Lendbuzz’s proprietary tools and cloud platforms as a fundamental part of daily data workflows.
• Draft and review standard legal correspondence, demand letters, and other documents related to matters under the supervision of an attorney.
• Help maintain the Legal Department’s matter management systems, calendars, and filing structures.
• Support additional cross-functional legal projects and department initiatives as necessary.
• A minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience as a paralegal or legal specialist within a corporate legal or compliance department **OR** 2 years of significant operational experience in automotive titles, dealership processing, or automotive loan servicing.
• Previous exposure to the litigation lifecycle, legal operations frameworks, or digital matter management systems.
• Direct experience in auto lending, consumer finance, asset recovery, or high-volume collections litigation is a considerable advantage.
• A detail-oriented self-starter capable of working independently in a remote or hybrid setting while ensuring team priorities are aligned.
• Outstanding organizational skills with a proven ability to manage and juggle multiple complex legal matters simultaneously.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, enabling effective collaboration across internal teams and with outside legal counsel.
• Strong eagerness and ability to learn proprietary software systems, adapt to evolving tech stacks, and maintain organized digital files.
• A Bachelor’s degree is required; a Paralegal Certificate from an ABA-approved program is a plus.
