This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Performing legal and factual research, along with writing and analysis;
• Conducting cite-checking and copy-editing of legal documents;
• Assisting with the submission of court filings;
• Supporting client advisory services;
• Offering additional assistance to the Lawyering Project’s legal programs as necessary;
• Fostering an organizational culture that is consistent with the core values of the Lawyering Project.
• Applicants must currently be enrolled in a law school within the United States.
• Law students interested in participating in an academic year internship during their 2L or 3L year are highly encouraged to apply.
• A clear dedication to social justice along with an interest in reproductive health, rights, and justice.
• Proficiency in legal research, writing, and analysis.
• Capability to assess complex legal issues, adhere to deadlines, perform well under pressure, and contribute positively to a collaborative team atmosphere in a diverse, equitable, and inclusive workplace.
• Please be aware that interns are not entitled to employee benefits, such as health insurance, retirement plans, or paid time off.
• This internship aims to offer academic experience and professional growth within a nonprofit legal environment.
