This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.
• Draft, review, and negotiate a diverse array of commercial agreements, encompassing SaaS/software licensing, partnerships, and supplier contracts.
• Serve as a primary legal point of contact for business stakeholders, offering clear, pragmatic, and commercially oriented advice.
• Take responsibility for legal support within specified business areas.
• Identify and implement enhancements to legal processes, workflows, and operational methods.
• Create and sustain contract templates, playbooks, and internal guidelines.
• Collaborate with a multi-jurisdictional legal team.
• Oversee external counsel and assist with disputes when necessary.
• Stay informed on pertinent legal and regulatory changes in the gaming and technology sectors.
• Support strategic business initiatives, including the development of new products.
• 4-6 years PQE (post qualification experience) as a solicitor, advocate, or equivalent is required.
• Strong foundation in commercial and contract law.
• Experience in the gaming industry or software development sector is beneficial but not mandatory.
• Capability to work independently, take ownership, and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Experience in enhancing legal processes, templates, or operational methods is highly desirable.
• Exceptional drafting, negotiation, and communication abilities.
• Proficiency in delivering practical, business-centric advice in a clear and concise manner.
• Strong skills in relationship-building and the ability to work effectively across various jurisdictions and cultures.
• A proactive, solution-oriented mindset with an interest in the gaming and technology sectors.
• Familiarity with legal technology tools (e.g., CLM systems, document automation) is advantageous.
• Interest in utilizing AI and legal technology to enhance legal service delivery and efficiency is desirable.
