Legal / Compliance Consultant – Trade Compliance, Export Control

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Singapore.

📋 Description

• Facilitate support for global trade compliance, emphasizing export controls, product classification (ECCN), licensing, and permitting requirements.

• Evaluate and interpret intricate trade regulations and implement them in business operations across the APAC region.

• Assist in the regionalization of global trade compliance initiatives, which include restricted party screening, customer due diligence, and end-use/end-user assessments.

• Provide training, mentorship, and support to trade compliance personnel throughout the APAC region.

⛳️ Requirements

• 4-12 (+) years of experience in global or regional trade compliance and export controls.

• In-depth knowledge of APAC regulations, specifically in Hong Kong and Singapore.

• Demonstrated ability to translate complex regulations into clear, actionable guidance for business operations.

• Proficiency in both English and Mandarin.

• Strong analytical and communication abilities to lead cross-border initiatives.

• Experience engaging with senior stakeholders.

• Capability to support high-impact decision-making processes.

• Proven track record in developing and regionalizing trade compliance programs.

• Experience in a supervisory role.
