This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.
• Provide assistance to attorneys in areas such as litigation, claims, inquiries, and various other legal matters.
• Manage the intake of matters, document organization, legal holds, discovery support, and related tracking tasks.
• Oversee legal calendars, deadlines, filings, correspondence, matter records, legal files, and supporting documents.
• Aid in maintaining corporate records, entity documentation, governance materials, business license renewals, annual filings, registrations, and compliance oversight.
• Support contract review processes, including routing, tracking, execution, renewals, retention, and monitoring of key dates and obligations under the direction of attorneys.
• Coordinate responses to client questionnaires, audits, RFPs, and due diligence inquiries.
• Assist with legal department systems such as CLM and ERM platforms, ensuring data accuracy and workflow integrity.
• Help with reporting, dashboard preparation, data collection, presentations, briefing materials, templates, and departmental communications.
• Monitor departmental metrics and assist with leadership reporting initiatives.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and support the development of procedures, templates, and resource materials.
• Perform additional duties and participate in required Firm training and development activities.
• An Associate's degree, Bachelor's degree, paralegal certificate, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
• A minimum of five (5) years of experience in roles such as legal assistant, legal administrative support, legal operations support, or a similar capacity.
• Experience in supporting legal, compliance, contracting, governance, or other professional services functions.
• Strong capabilities in managing documents, deadlines, records, and communications with multiple stakeholders.
• Proficient in Microsoft 365 applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, and SharePoint.
• Excellent organizational and prioritization skills, with the ability to manage multiple assignments and deadlines effectively.
• Outstanding written and verbal communication abilities.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
• Capability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
• Strong problem-solving skills and sound judgment.
• Ability to work independently while effectively collaborating with attorneys and business partners.
• Willingness to learn and efficiently utilize legal operations and workflow management systems.
• Strong customer service orientation and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to sit or stand for extended periods, work on a computer, perform repetitive tasks, maintain focus, and lift/push/pull/carry up to 20 pounds.

• Preferred: experience within a law firm, in-house legal department, or regulated professional services environment; background in business licensing, corporate filings, entity management, compliance tracking, litigation, claims management, contract administration, audits, due diligence, client questionnaires, CLM, ERM, legal matter management, advanced reporting, data management, or Excel.
