Legal and Compliance Counsel

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +19 more states.

📋 Description

• Offer legal and compliance assistance in the realms of client contracting, vendor management, HIPAA privacy and security concerns, general operational issues, and other associated functions.

⛳️ Requirements

• J.D. from a recognized law school and current bar admission in good standing (in any US jurisdiction) preferred.

• At least 3 years of legal experience, with significant exposure to healthcare, health IT, or revenue cycle management (RCM) strongly preferred.

• Practical experience in contract drafting and negotiation.

• Comprehensive understanding of HIPAA/HITECH, including the requirements of privacy and security rules.

• Acquaintance with healthcare compliance frameworks and OIG guidelines.
