Leave Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.

📋 Description

• Oversee the complete leave of absence process through ServiceNow for all locations in the United States and Canada.

• Manage an average case load of 150+ cases, from initial intake to eligibility evaluations.

• Issue necessary notifications tailored by State and verify the accuracy of medical certification documents.

• Make decisions regarding approvals or denials and offer guidance to both managers and employees on leave-related inquiries.

• Process and authorize leave of absence transactions using Workday.

• Coordinate the leave of absence process across the Company.

• Conduct individualized assessments of leave and address any issues that arise.

• Appropriately monitor work queues and prioritize cases as needed.

• Provide support and coaching for managers and employees concerning leave entitlements and eligibility.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree is mandatory or equivalent experience in Human Resources or a related discipline.

• A minimum of three (3) years of experience in an HR generalist or compliance role (such as leave of absence, ADA, Employee Relations) is required.

• At least three (3) years of demonstrated experience in managing leave of absence processes, including coaching and consulting others, is necessary.

• A minimum of three (3) years of experience in interpreting and ensuring compliance with human resources regulations is required.

• At least one (1) year of experience in high-volume, complex case management is necessary.

• In-depth knowledge of federal and state absence laws and regulations is essential.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); familiarity with Workday and/or ServiceNow is a plus.

• Intermediate experience in case management and HRIS systems (like ServiceNow, Workday, etc.) is required.
