This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.
• Develop impactful learning solutions by leveraging project management and instructional design expertise.
• Collaborate across various departments and with training team members to formulate learning blueprints and content that align with performance and organizational goals.
• Assess learning and performance requirements.
• Create educational content to address identified needs.
• Suggest learning designs and implement measurable methods to evaluate the impact and effectiveness of learning.
• Utilize instructional design principles across blended learning, social media, mobile technologies, and other educational formats.
• Innovate learning strategies using modalities such as microlearning, e-modules, collaborative learning, action learning projects, and peer coaching.
• Ensure that learning and performance objectives are suitable for the audience and that training materials effectively meet those objectives.
• Evaluate organizational, group, and individual performance needs to create content for Enterprise Operations.
• Collect feedback and identify trends to ascertain if learning content addresses root causes and immediate requirements.
• Maintain and periodically assess library content for relevance, accuracy, and quality, initiating corrective actions as necessary.
• Review and test new and revised curriculum offerings, providing constructive feedback for improvements.
• Contribute fresh curriculum and program ideas.
• Stay updated on trends in learning and performance, Enterprise Operations, and the insurance industry.
• A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent to 8 years of work-related experience in instructional design and adult learning is required.
• A Master’s degree is preferred.
• A minimum of 4 years of instructional design experience is required.
• Experience in the financial services industry is advantageous.
• A Master’s degree in Instructional Design or Adult Learning or equivalent 12 years of relevant work experience is preferred.
• Strong capability to apply training theories and principles, including applied behavioral science, adult learning theory, and established industry evaluation models.
• Ability to simplify complex concepts and ideas into easily digestible formats and flows.
• Proficient in writing course objectives and crafting effective assessment questions and learning activities.
• Experience in creating engaging interactions using adult learning and instructional design best practices (ADDIE, SAAM).
• Experience in developing storyboards.
• Familiarity with authoring software such as Articulate Storyline or Camtasia.
• Strong project management skills and meticulous attention to detail.
• Capability to work efficiently on multiple projects while adhering to tight deadlines in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to foster and develop collaborative, productive relationships with teams and key stakeholders.
• Excellent time management and organizational abilities.
• Ability to work during Central or Eastern Time hours.
• All work must be conducted within the United States.
