This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Develop robust partnerships to foster trust and instill confidence in lean methodologies.
• Cultivate relationships across various backgrounds and organizational tiers, concentrating on Group Leaders, Group Lean resources, project leaders, field leaders, and the Craft workforce.
• Assist leaders in prioritizing efforts toward culture development and achieving business outcomes.
• Implement and enhance Mortenson’s Kaizen-based continuous improvement strategy.
• Generate interest from Group and Project Leaders and advocate for the thoughtful application of this approach.
• Collaborate with Group Leaders and project teams to test, apply, and refine the continuous improvement methodology.
• Employ and manage the approach across General Contractor, Self-Perform, Business Services, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and other work settings.
• Facilitate the necessary tools and evolve, refine, and promote their utilization.
• Evaluate and enhance the consistency and effectiveness of the approach.
• Mentor and develop Group Lean resources and group leaders.
• Suggest and implement continuous improvement initiatives that engage and develop personnel while enhancing business outcomes.
• Involve group leaders in actively participating in continuous improvement initiatives.
• Continuously advance technical and leadership skills to coach and nurture others.
• Bachelor’s degree in Operations Management, Construction Management, Industrial Engineering, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and extensive technical/field experience demonstrated over several years of relevant work experience.
• At least fifteen years of experience in construction or manufacturing.
• A minimum of ten years in a continuous improvement or another operational functional role.
• Willingness to travel up to 75% to various locations across the continental U.S.
• Proficient in facilitating Kaizen sessions.
• In-depth understanding of Kaizen principles and their application.
• A humble learner with a sense of curiosity and optimism.
• A proactive self-starter with a growth-oriented mindset.
• Exceptional reliability and commitment to follow through on obligations.
• Outstanding trainer and facilitator.
• Strong capability to coach and mentor Group and Project Leaders, as well as Lean professionals.
• Ability to influence through relationship building at both the group and project leader levels.
• Effective collaboration with individuals from diverse backgrounds and organizational levels.
• Strong active listening skills and effective communication, including receptiveness to diverse feedback and input.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship for employment visa status.
