Lead Web Platform Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Massachusetts.

📋 Description

• Take charge of the ongoing development of our website platform.

• Oversee daily operations, including security and performance management.

• Stabilize and enhance the current WordPress environment.

• Architect a future-state design that provides seamless user experiences.

• Collaborate closely with Salesforce, Data, and Marketing teams to ensure dependable digital experiences.

• Enhance performance through caching and CDN optimization.

• Fortify security measures and access controls.

• Refine CI/CD processes and environment promotion strategies.

• Ensure reliable integration with Salesforce, Shopify, and booking systems.

• Develop a cohesive digital experience using a headless CMS framework.

• Lead technical assessments of potential CMS replacement options.

• Establish a content modeling and structured metadata strategy.

⛳️ Requirements

• 3-5 years of experience managing or administering a CMS/web platform in a production environment.

• Strong expertise in WordPress is essential.

• Experience in managing payment gateways and webhook/API integrations.

• Practical experience with AWS for PHP/WordPress workloads.

• Demonstrated experience in maintaining data integrations across various platforms.

• Salesforce experience is preferred.

• Solid understanding of web security, least-privilege/IAM, secrets management, and compliance with PII considerations.

• Experience in the nonprofit sector (including donations, memberships, recurring gifts, and acknowledgments) is preferred.

• Familiarity with Gravity Forms is a plus.

• Experience with headless CMS is preferred.

• Experience integrating CMS with Salesforce or other CRM platforms is preferred.

• Knowledge of structured data, schema, and AI-ready content modeling is preferred.

• Familiarity with conducting security reviews and coordinating penetration testing is preferred.
