Lead Warehouse Design Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Spearhead the creation of a design package that may encompass material flow diagrams, facility layouts, designs for material handling equipment, automation systems, storage media configurations, process designs, slotting, and pick path analyses.

• Oversee all engineering tasks during the implementation phase, including management of automation and material handling vendors.

• Partner with the Data Analytics team to evaluate client data for identifying order profiles.

• Develop engineering calculations and documentation to articulate solutions and detailed operational concepts.

• Design the comprehensive facility layout, storage media, and workflow synchronized with the suitable equipment.

• Assist in business development by addressing RFPs, which includes creating materials and presenting to prospective clients.

• Assess and contrast manual and automated warehouse solutions.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field, or equivalent experience in work or military service.

• At least 4 years of engineering experience in supply chain management, logistics, warehousing, or a related area.

• Proven experience in leading Engineering teams.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

• Preferred 8-10 years of experience as an Industrial Engineer.

• Familiarity with advanced data tools such as SQL, Power BI, and Python is preferred.

• Extensive experience with AutoCAD is preferred.

• Willingness to travel up to 50% is required.

• Experience in time study measurement techniques, such as MOST, is a plus.

• Preferred experience in Third-Party Logistics (3PL), warehousing, distribution centers, or fulfillment operations.
