Lead Transmission Line Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Design transmission lines ranging from 69kV to 765kV.

• Guide and nurture less experienced members of the design team.

• Oversee design activities to ensure that installations and operations align with specifications, codes, and client expectations.

• Create reports and studies that convey technical information clearly and concisely, adhering to client requirements and S&L formats.

• Conduct independent evaluations of work completed by others, including calculations, drawing preparation, and transmission line models utilizing PLS-CADD.

• Comply with Sargent & Lundy's System of Processes.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree from an ABET-accredited engineering program.

• A minimum of 10 years of experience in transmission design.

• Expertise in using PLS-CADD software.

• Experience should encompass the preparation of scopes of work, conceptual design development, design basis determination, equipment and material selection, and the compilation of calculations and specifications.

• Proven experience collaborating directly with clients on transmission lines ranging from 69kV to 500kV.

• Familiarity with engineering standards such as NESC, IEC, ASCE, ACI, IEEE, and ANSI.

• Experience in reviewing design drawings produced by others.
