This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Jersey.
• Design, program, configure, test, and implement Control4 automation systems (including lighting, AV, shades, and integration with third-party devices).
• Maintain a valid Lutron RadioRA2/RA2 Select (or RadioRA) certification and perform programming/configuration of Lutron lighting and shade control systems.
• Collaborate with clients, designers, contractors, and other stakeholders to define system functionality, network/AV/automation requirements, and deliverables.
• Diagnose and resolve intricate issues in automation, AV, shading, lighting control, and networking environments.
• Produce system documentation, configuration backups, job-site checklists, and handover materials.
• Mentor and guide junior technicians/field installers, providing technical leadership both on-site and remotely.
• Engage in site setup, rack construction, cable/low-voltage terminations (as required), and final system acceptance with clients.
• Ensure remote access, monitoring, and service protocols for deployed systems; proactively support client systems for reliability and serviceability.
• Stay informed about smart home industry trends, new integrations, and automation best practices.
• Comply with company policies regarding safety, professionalism, and client satisfaction.
• At least 3 years of hands-on programming experience with Control4 systems (automation, lighting/shade/AV integration).
• Valid Lutron Radiora3 certification.
• Knowledge of networking (IP networks, switches, routing, VLANs, remote access, VPN) as it relates to smart-home/automation systems.
• Strong experience in AV/lighting/shading/integration (either residential or commercial).
• Exceptional troubleshooting abilities—covering hardware, software, networking, and automation logic.
• Strong client-facing communication skills: capable of explaining technical details and providing client training.
• Self-driven, organized, and comfortable working both independently and collaboratively within a team.
• Valid driver’s license and readiness to travel to job sites (if local work is required).
