Lead Technical Architect – Salesforce Platform

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Louisiana, +4 more states.

📋 Description

• Deliver hands-on technical leadership and architectural guidance for the Salesforce ecosystem at Marsh McLennan Agency.

• Collaborate closely with business stakeholders, platform leaders, administrators, developers, and enterprise technology teams to create scalable, secure, and sustainable Salesforce solutions.

• Assist in shaping and maintaining the technical roadmap for MMA's Salesforce platform.

• Provide architectural oversight across Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Experience Cloud, Pardot / Marketing Cloud Account Engagement, integrations, workflow automation, reporting, and associated platform capabilities.

• Set technical standards, guide solution design, evaluate configuration and coding practices, support DevOps and release management procedures, and ensure the platform evolves in line with business requirements and enterprise technology standards.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive experience as a Salesforce Technical Architect or Lead Salesforce Architect in a complex enterprise setting.

• Strong practical knowledge of Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Experience Cloud, and Salesforce platform architecture.

• Proven experience in translating business requirements into scalable Salesforce solutions, including configuration, Flow, Apex, Lightning Web Components, data models, security, reporting, and integrations.

• Demonstrated capability to define and manage Salesforce architecture standards, design patterns, naming conventions, release standards, and documentation requirements.

• Experience guiding Salesforce administrators, developers, consultants, vendors, and distributed delivery teams.

• In-depth understanding of Salesforce security, sharing models, profiles, permission sets, roles, data quality, and platform performance considerations.

• Experience designing integrations between Salesforce and enterprise systems using APIs, middleware, event-driven patterns, or integration platforms like MuleSoft.

• Familiarity with Salesforce DevOps, environment management, release management, deployment tools, and change control processes.

• Ability to review technical designs, critically assess solution approaches, and ensure that solutions are maintainable, scalable, and consistent with platform standards.

• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to convey technical trade-offs in business language.

• Experience collaborating with delivery leads, product owners, business analysts, and QA/UAT stakeholders to ensure predictable solution delivery.

• Capability to identify technical debt, evaluate platform risk, and assist in prioritizing modernization efforts.
