This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Take the lead in addressing customer technical specifications for upgrades to conventional nuclear, non-safety related steam turbine controls.

• Collaborate with Controls Engineering Technical Leaders and Product Design Owners to formulate precise, compliant, and competitive technical responses to customer inquiries.

• Determine the engineering efforts and material needs to meet customer expectations and uphold nuclear industry quality standards, in line with our engineering, manufacturing, and product capabilities.

• Oversee the definition of the Technical Application Guide for nuclear steam turbine controls applications; create and maintain Technical Application Guides (TAGs) that outline standards for engineering design efforts, material/hardware specifications, technical proposal language for standard products, and overall technical quoting thresholds.

• Assist in the commercialization of new product designs for nuclear steam turbine controls applications by creating or updating TAGs to facilitate the quotation of new products/applications.

• Engage in technical discussions with customers to foster strategic deal development; provide technical insights on GEV products and services for nuclear steam turbine controls, gather customer feedback, respond to technical inquiries regarding GEV proposals, and relay insights to the business’s commercial and product management teams about control solutions that address customer needs in the nuclear sector.

• Contribute to the ongoing enhancement of Technical Application Guides by participating in project reviews with commercial, project management, engineering, and field service teams.


⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Nuclear Engineering, or a related technical discipline from an accredited institution.

• At least 5 years of relevant industry experience in steam turbine control system applications or controls project execution.

• Minimum of 2 years of pertinent work experience within the nuclear industry.

• Willingness and ability to travel up to 15% of the time.

• Familiarity with relevant nuclear quality, safety, and regulatory standards.

• Knowledge and experience with the GE Vernova Mark VIe Control System.

• Background in technical application/proposal engineering.

• Strong grasp of control system architecture, instrumentation, HMI systems, cyber security, and integration principles.

• Capability to interpret technical specifications and create practical engineering responses, balancing standard solutions with project-specific needs.

• High attention to detail in crafting technical proposals.

• Excellent written and verbal communication capabilities.

• Strong collaborative skills with internal technical and commercial teams.

• Proven ability to achieve established goals and metrics.

• Capacity to manage multiple projects concurrently within a matrix management framework.

• Experience engaging with all levels of internal and external clients.

• Strong influence, facilitation, and interpersonal skills.

• Robust process discipline coupled with solid analytical abilities.

• Strong technical judgment and problem-solving skills.

• Comfort working across various engineering disciplines and with diverse stakeholders.
