
Lead Substation Protection & Control Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida, +3 more states.
• Responsible for the design and preparation of various Protection and Control Drawings, including Protective Schemes, Substation Relay One Lines and Three Lines, AC/DC Schematics, Substation Panel Layouts, Substation Wiring Diagrams and Cable Schedules, SCADA and Communication Diagrams, as well as DC and AC Systems Calculations.
• Develop Equipment Specifications and Selection based on client requirements.
• Create a Bill of Materials according to design specifications.
• Collaborate with physical, settings, and drafting teams to guarantee high-quality deliverables.
• Engage in client meetings and conduct site visits for necessary data collection.
• Interpret and integrate vendor information into design outputs.
• Adhere to client standards relevant to the project.
• Offer field support during the construction phase.
• Ensure compliance with the company’s Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) processes across all design packages.
• Focus on the continuous enhancement of engineering, technical, and professional knowledge, skills, and performance related to the job.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, preferably in electrical or computer engineering.
• Over 5 years of experience in protection and controls.
• More than 5 years of experience with Bluebeam, AutoCAD, and MicroStation.
