This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Ensure that suppliers adhere to all safety regulations while proactively addressing systemic risks through comprehensive root cause analysis and corrective action management.
• Create and lead supplier qualification strategies in accordance with APQP4Wind standards and the Quality Gates framework, guaranteeing the timely arrival of components that satisfy GE Vernova’s specifications and expectations.
• Uphold supplier quality standards post-qualification by supervising PFMEA validation, compliance with established quality plans, and conducting follow-up audits.
• Confirm that all special processes and NDT activities are qualified and audited per the approved timeline, taking swift and effective action in case of any deviations.
• Oversee supplier deviations, including internal supplier deviations and escaping defects, by executing containment measures, performing in-depth root cause analysis, and ensuring the completion of preventive and corrective actions.
• Collaborate with suppliers to create improvement and innovation initiatives aimed at decreasing potential failure modes through enhanced detection, control, and process robustness.
• Assist GCL in outlining the sourcing strategy for North America and in the onboarding of new suppliers.
• A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college in Engineering, Materials Science, Manufacturing, Quality, or a related technical discipline.
• At least 5 years of pertinent experience in supplier quality or manufacturing quality.
• Experience in supplier quality and program management within industrial, manufacturing, energy, or heavy equipment sectors.
• Familiarity with special processes such as welding, steel production, coating, and NDT.
• Understanding of process qualification, certification, surveillance, and audit methodologies for critical manufacturing processes.
• Proven ability to collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, sourcing, quality, and supplier teams.
• Strong problem-solving capabilities to define immediate containment actions, conduct root cause analysis, and implement corrective and preventive measures.
• In-depth knowledge of essential tools for supplier manufacturing, including pFMEA, MPP (Manufacturing Process Plan), ITP (Inspection and Test Plan), MSA (Measurement System Analysis), and Capability Studies.
• Experience in conducting supplier audits (Process, Product, and Systems).
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Willingness to travel up to 25% as necessary to support supplier qualification, surveillance, and business needs.
