Lead Software Engineer, TimescaleDB Enterprise

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Leading the design and development of TimescaleDB Enterprise, our on-premises deployment and management platform for TimescaleDB.

• Building and enhancing core product functionalities, which include:

• - management consoles,

• - deployment workflows,

• - operational tooling,

• - configuration management,

• - and customer administration experiences.

• Taking ownership of technical decisions throughout the product lifecycle, ensuring a balance between speed, scalability, maintainability, and customer experience.

• Collaborating directly with enterprise customers and prospects to comprehend operational needs and convert them into practical product solutions.

• Leading the development of new features while consistently enhancing reliability, usability, and operational simplicity.

• Working closely with Platform Engineering and cross-functional stakeholders across Product, Support, and Sales Engineering.

• Contributing to the long-term product and technical vision of the Enterprise platform.

• Effectively navigating ambiguous environments where priorities shift rapidly and engineers are expected to provide clarity.

• Utilizing AI tools on a daily basis to expedite development, debugging, documentation, and product iteration processes.

⛳️ Requirements

• Experience in developing developer platforms, enterprise software, infrastructure products, operational tools, or database-related systems.

• Ability to work across various layers of a system, from backend services to operational workflows and user-facing tools.

• Strong familiarity and expertise with AI coding tools.

• Knowledge of PostgreSQL, distributed systems, deployment automation, or enterprise operational environments is highly beneficial.

• Experience engaging directly with enterprise customers or highly technical users is a significant advantage.
