This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.
• Conduct vulnerability research on embedded systems and software applications to uncover previously unreported security threats
• Reverse engineer various architectures and platforms as required, including ARM, x86, x64, and MIPS
• Utilize both static and dynamic analysis tools for evaluating firmware and software
• Overcome modern security measures (such as ASLR, NX, canaries) to create a functional proof-of-concept (PoC)
• Employ knowledge of offensive and defensive reverse engineering techniques, including the development and counteraction of advanced security strategies
• Design, develop, or assess low-level system components, such as kernel modules and foundational firmware services
• Create tools and software solutions using Python scripts, C, or other programming languages as necessary
• Operate effectively within Unix/Linux operating system environments
• Active Top Secret/SCI security clearance is mandatory
• Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of 9 years of relevant experience
• Graduate Degree with at least 7 years of related experience
• In the absence of a degree, a minimum of 13 years of relevant experience is required
• Over 5 years of experience with reverse engineering frameworks such as Ghidra or IDA Pro
• More than 5 years of experience conducting vulnerability research on embedded systems and/or software applications to identify potential security threats
• Professional hands-on experience with diagnostic tools such as oscilloscopes, multi-meters, power supplies, and logic analyzers
• Experience in firmware emulation and debugging
• Familiarity with embedded hardware and software design, development, and testing processes
• Background in hardware platform development
• Proficiency in one or more low-level programming languages
• Knowledge and expertise in RF systems and technologies
• Understanding of wired and wireless protocols, including USB, SPI/I2C/1-Wire, Ethernet, PCI-Express, 802.11, Bluetooth, Cellular, and others
• Experience in developing custom emulation solutions for dynamic analysis using tools like QEMU
• Proficient in writing plugins for decompilers such as IDA and Ghidra
• Skills in soldering, prototyping, and analyzing electronic circuits
