Research Engineer, Level 2

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Oregon.

📋 Description

• Oversee full-stack applications and analytics frameworks for clinical and data science researchers.

• Collaborate with researchers to implement analytics platforms and algorithms.

• Establish and manage informatics research databases.

• Design and develop web-based applications intended for research purposes.

• Enhance Health Information Technology and tools for data interoperability.

• Create, deploy, support, and integrate research resources and services.

• Coordinate, maintain, and troubleshoot intricate research engineering functionalities.

• Implement engineering designs and software releases while ensuring security measures.

• Create testing schedules and materials, and manage program testing coordination.

• Work with researchers, senior research engineers, and technical/data science specialists to prioritize tasks and evaluate progress.

• Develop and sustain data analysis and visualization tools.

• Build and maintain relational databases while monitoring performance metrics.

• Generate comprehensive reports outlining trends.

• Conduct time series regression analysis, longitudinal modeling, and risk assessment analyses.

• Ensure compliance documentation aligns with internal and federal quality standards.

• Formulate and maintain standard operating procedures and training records for clinical and informatics study processes.

• Uphold confidentiality and adhere to regulatory guidelines regarding protected health information.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a scientific discipline and a minimum of 3 years of pertinent experience.

• Proficient and fluent in data management, analysis, and visualization as a test engineer.

• Experience in creating and managing data tools utilizing Igor Pro and MySQL relational databases.

• Familiarity with data analysis, quality, and process enhancement using JMP, Minitab, LabView, and Microsoft Excel.

• Background in audit compliance and quality assurance practices.

• Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks, multitask, and work effectively in a team setting.

• Adaptable, innovative, and a quick learner.

• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
