Machine Learning Research Engineer – Central Technology

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Collaborate on machine learning initiatives aimed at enhancing detection, prevention, and response strategies against cheating.

• Conduct experiments and analyses to validate models and assess their effects on players.

• Present findings, challenges, and impacts of work to the team and stakeholders.

• Partner with game designers, engineers, and producers to pinpoint anti-cheat opportunities.

• Create new detection methods from data and enhance existing ones.

• Provide support for Ricochet through consultation, data analysis, data engineering, and experimentation.

• Keep abreast of advancements in machine learning, anti-cheat technologies, and statistical analysis.

• Gain insights from experts and engage in mentorship opportunities within the team.

⛳️ Requirements

• Master’s degree or equivalent professional experience in Data Science, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related discipline.

• Over 3 years of experience applying data science and machine learning to tackle real-world challenges with measurable outcomes.

• Proficiency in managing large datasets for production applications.

• Experience in developing, assessing, and refining machine learning models in a production environment.

• Proficient in Python and related libraries, including PySpark, Pandas, XGBoost, and PyTorch.

• Strong grasp of data analysis and experimental methodologies.

• Excellent SQL proficiency.

• Familiarity with supervised, unsupervised, and deep learning methodologies.

• Effective communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Ability to learn from senior colleagues and assist in the growth of fellow team members.

• Experience in threat intelligence, open-source intelligence, online research, fraud detection, anti-cheat investigations, or similar fields is a plus.

• Additional experience in adversarial machine learning, anomaly detection, graph analytics, or behavioral modeling is advantageous.

• Background in machine learning related to game security, game development, and anti-cheat software is a bonus.

• Passion for video games and an understanding of Warzone gameplay mechanics is a plus.
