Lead Security Research Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Australia.

📋 Description

• Assist in the development of innovative detection and mitigation technologies.

• Stay updated on the latest techniques for threat creation and defense within the industry.

• Create proof-of-concept solutions.

• Offer domain expertise and oversee implementation to ensure a robust security posture in Cisco’s products.

• Conduct vulnerability triage and develop proof of concept exploits.

• Compose comprehensive technical reports, summaries, and testing methodologies.

• Investigate emerging technologies, protocols, and testing methodologies.

• Perform patch analysis to identify and exploit vulnerabilities.

• Reverse engineer binary applications, protocols, and formats.

• Evaluate vulnerabilities and analyze emerging security threats and technologies.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 10 years of experience in vulnerability research or a closely related field.

• At least 5 years of experience with C/C++, a scripting language (such as Python), and assembly (including x86/x64, ARM, etc.).

• Extensive hands-on expertise in host system vulnerabilities, reverse engineering, and Linux OS.
