This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.
• Oversee the design and assessment of enterprise security architectures, ensuring alignment with Zero Trust Architecture (ZTA) principles and the organization's cybersecurity policies.
• Act as the main technical liaison between enterprise architects and systems security engineers to confirm that security controls are appropriately allocated and executed.
• Transform intricate operational requirements and stakeholder security priorities into comprehensive technical specifications and functional requirements.
• Offer essential contributions to the Risk Management Framework (RMF) process, which includes creating system life-cycle support plans and operational procedures.
• Oversee security requirements throughout the acquisition life cycle, from drafting statements of work to assessing vendor-proposed security designs for sufficiency.
• Conduct regular security evaluations and design modeling to pinpoint architectural gaps, formulating thorough risk management plans to mitigate vulnerabilities.
• Classify systems and delineate clear security boundaries, documenting the protective needs for information systems and networks.
• Provide guidance to senior leadership and authorized personnel on design concepts, project expenditures, and the possible negative impacts of identified vulnerabilities.
• Over 10 years of professional experience in cybersecurity, with at least 5 years in security architecture or a senior technical position.
• One or more of the following certifications: (ISC)2 Certified Information Security Professional (CISSP), GIAC Security Enterprise Architect (GSEA), or GIAC Defensible Security Architecture (GDSA).
• Proven capability to analyze complex requirements and translate them into clear, actionable tasks and processes through critical thinking.
• Demonstrated experience in architecting secure enterprise systems utilizing Zero Trust Architecture (ZTA) principles.
• Applicants must be U.S. citizens and eligible to obtain and maintain a security clearance, in accordance with federal contract requirements.
• It is advantageous to possess a Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
