Lead SCADA Electrical Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Develop SCADA point lists, remote terminal unit (RTU) programs, and human-machine interfaces (HMI’s).

• Program, install, troubleshoot, test, and commission Remote Terminal Units (RTU’s), Programmable Automation Controllers (PAC’s), and Human Machine Interfaces (HMI’s) for clients in renewable energy and power utilities.

• Create complete design packages for site network and SCADA communication architectures that comply with both client and regulatory standards.

• Maintain strong client relationships with a focus on responsiveness, engaging in frequent interactions.

• Typically work with the following technologies and platforms: Remote Terminal Unit: SEL-RTAC, Novatech OrionLX+ HMI: Web-based GUIs (Inkscape, SEL Diagram Builder). Experience with Ignition is an advantage.

• Troubleshooting skills using tools such as Putty, Wireshark, and SEL-Quickset.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering is mandatory.

• Graduation from an ABET-accredited program or an equivalent is required.

• A Professional Engineering (PE) license is essential.

• 7-9+ years of relevant experience is a prerequisite.

• Proficiency and a working knowledge of communication protocols (DNP3, Modbus, etc.) and internet network architectures are necessary.

• Experience in network design and implementation, along with networking/IT certifications such as Cisco Certified Network Associate, is a plus.

• Familiarity with Microsoft Software Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access) is expected.
