Lead Salesforce Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with a skilled software engineering team to design and implement tailored Salesforce solutions that adapt to the changing needs of the business and its customers.

• Work closely with business stakeholders, management, and senior engineers to convert requirements into scalable technical solutions that enhance the Salesforce platform.

• Provide technical guidance through coaching and mentorship, encouraging the development of team members, promoting engineering best practices, and assisting in building a high-performing development team.

• Design and create custom Salesforce solutions with a strong focus on supporting and optimizing lead-to-cash business processes, encompassing lead management, opportunity lifecycle, quoting, and revenue workflows.

• Develop high-quality, scalable source code primarily in Apex, JavaScript, Visualforce, Aura, and Lightning Web Components, following Salesforce development best practices, coding standards, and design patterns.

• Customize and extend the Salesforce platform to provide scalable, business-oriented technical solutions.

• Experience in designing and implementing scalable integrations using MuleSoft, including API-led architecture, system/process/experience layers, and seamless integration between Salesforce and external enterprise systems.

• Utilize source control tools such as Git and Bitbucket for managing code and deployments.

• Monitor the performance of the Salesforce platform and proactively manage system usage limits (governor limits), ensuring optimal performance, scalability, and reliability of custom solutions.

• Engage in peer code reviews to ensure compliance with coding standards, best practices, and overall solution quality.

• Monitor and address automated build and deployment failures related to programmatic issues.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to map business processes, particularly lead-to-cash workflows, into effective Salesforce solutions.

• Guide solution design, promote technical excellence, and support the professional growth of developers through knowledge sharing, code reviews, and ongoing learning opportunities.

• Troubleshoot, log, and resolve Salesforce application issues in collaboration with Salesforce Premier Support and third-party system integrators.

• Regularly assess and refine implemented solutions to ensure ongoing alignment with business objectives and value delivery.

• Develop and maintain documentation and end-user guides for custom Salesforce functionalities.

• Stay updated with Salesforce technologies, best practices, and certifications.

• Experience with AI tools or a demonstrated eagerness to learn.

• Perform additional duties as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• Salesforce Certified Platform Developer I, preferred.

• Strong expertise in Apex, JavaScript, and HTML.

• Proven knowledge of lead-to-cash business processes and the capability to translate them into scalable Salesforce solutions.

• Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts in clear, business-relevant language.

• Understanding of how technical work influences broader business operations.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and web-based tools.

• Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.

• Bachelor's Degree in a technology-related field, preferred. Candidates with a high school diploma and at least 11 years of hands-on experience in Information Technology will also be considered.

• 7+ years of hands-on experience in Information Technology.

• 5+ years of hands-on Salesforce development experience or relevant demonstrated practical experience on a similar platform.

• Familiarity with the full Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).

• Practical experience with source control tools such as Git and Bitbucket.

• Experience with task tracking tools, such as Jira.
