Lead Project Management Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina.

📋 Description

• Assist the Project Director in planning and executing contracts for the design and construction of new nuclear power plants.

• Oversee the quality, cost, and schedule of the execution process.

• Aid the Project Director in structuring project costs within Oracle ERP.

• Engage in customer, internal, and/or supplier project kickoff meetings.

• Support the Project Director in the preparation and coordination of kickoff meetings for customers, internal teams, and/or suppliers.

• Create and maintain a project roster, including the assignment and monitoring of timely completion of project-related training activities.

• Assist in the development and issuance of the Project Management Plan, along with related project plans and procedures.

• Ensure adherence to U.S. government requirements as applicable.

• Facilitate project activity coordination; monitor and control the progress of project deliverables.

• Organize and archive project correspondence and records in line with the Project Configuration Management Plan.

• Lead, draft, and distribute project management meeting notes, action item lists, and progress reports.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college.

• At least 2 years of project management experience (nuclear preferred, but experience with any energy or large-scale projects is acceptable).

• Proven organizational skills, particularly regarding project execution.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or a STEM-related field.

• Fundamental-level financial or accounting knowledge.

• Experience or familiarity with Boiling Water Reactor (BWR) or Sodium Fast Reactor (SFR) designs.

• Knowledge of the power industry, customer relations, and competitive landscape.

• Proven ability to support project budget, schedule, and quality goals.

• Understanding of financial control principles.

• Demonstrated initiative and ability to work independently.

• Exceptional attention to detail, follow-up skills, and organizational abilities.

• Proven capacity to manage workload under tight deadlines and shifting priorities in a fast-paced environment.

• Demonstrated problem analysis and resolution skills.

• Exceptional proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
