Lead Project Engineer – APAC

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Australia.

📋 Description

• Oversee project execution, requiring a deep understanding of project scope, timelines, stakeholders, and ensuring all parties are aligned.

• Detect gaps in scope and responsibilities, collaborating with stakeholders to resolve them for project success. This necessitates a thorough comprehension of the engineering, procurement, construction, and permitting processes.

• Utilize engineering principles and consult with subject matter experts, as necessary, to pinpoint issues and implement solutions within projects.

• Specify necessary equipment for projects, including Transformers, Switchgear, protection solutions, etc.

• Collaborate with both internal (project managers, product engineers, sales team) and external stakeholders (utilities, AHJs, contractors, end customers) to maintain effective communication.

• Examine project design documents such as single line drawings, communication diagrams, layouts, equipment test reports, and more.

• Organize and lead BESS project commissioning activities.

• Provide constructive insights to enhance internal processes and products.

⛳️ Requirements

• 10 years of experience with a Bachelor's degree in electrical or power systems engineering, or 8 years of experience with a Master's degree in the same fields.

• Proven track record in leading project design, ideally in the construction of large power stations, PV, or other utility-scale power projects.

• Preferred 5+ years of experience in BESS projects.

• At least 3 years of experience on EPC projects.

• PE certification or equivalent is preferred.

• Knowledge of permitting processes with local authorities is essential.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally, up to 30% of the time.

• Comfortable working in fast-paced and rapidly growing environments.
