Lead Product Manager, Crypto

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North America.

📋 Description

• The product team at Alpaca is seeking a Lead Product Manager to take charge of Alpaca's regulated crypto product landscape and assume a pivotal role within our crypto initiatives.

• In this position, you will manage and expand a portfolio that includes crypto trading, multi-asset cross-margin, borrow/lend/earn, custody, on-chain settlement, tokenization (including transfer agent roles, tokenized money market funds, and on-chain issuance), as well as partnership programs from conception to launch.

• You will collaborate extensively with engineering, compliance, legal, partnerships, and the wider Alpaca product team to deliver regulated crypto infrastructure at scale.

• You will play a critical role in shaping and developing the crypto product and will be expected to provide early insights on US policy changes instead of merely responding after regulations are established.

• You will assist in building and nurturing the Alpaca crypto PM team; this includes hiring and onboarding current PMs while setting high standards across the team.

• Passionate about Alpaca's mission and prepared to take on a leadership role in our most ambitious crypto projects.

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, finance, or a related field.

• Over 8 years of experience in Product Management, Engineering, or launching a startup, with senior-level responsibility in crypto, brokerage, exchanges, or financial infrastructure.

• Proven track record of managing regulated crypto products at production scale in areas such as borrow/lend/earn, multi-asset cross-margin, custody, on-chain settlement, tokenization, or stablecoin/payment rails.

• Hands-on experience in navigating US crypto regulatory frameworks, including NY DFS BitLicense, SEC transfer-agent rules, FinCEN, FINRA broker-dealer regulations, and SEC tokenized-securities guidelines.

• Demonstrated success in taking partnership programs from concept through to launch, public relations, and growth.

• Familiar with an AI-native PM workflow; utilizing AI is integral to your daily operations.

• Strong business acumen to balance stakeholder interests with technological feasibility, considering time and budget constraints.
