Lead Product Engineer – JavaScript

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colombia.

📋 Description

• Develop and refine web experiences for both buyers and administrative users.

• Create dashboards, reporting tools, and features for data visualization.

• Design and execute workflows and product functionalities backed by SQL.

• Integrate both internal and external REST APIs.

• Collaborate closely with founders and stakeholders to convert business requirements into product features.

• Enhance usability, performance, reliability, and maintainability across the platform.

• Contribute to shaping technical decisions and participate in discussions regarding the product roadmap.

• Utilize advanced AI-assisted development tools to speed up delivery and boost engineering productivity.

• Operate with a significant level of ownership and independence in a dynamic startup setting.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in creating customer-facing SaaS products, marketplaces, dashboards, admin portals, analytics platforms, or B2B web applications.

• Demonstrated ability to autonomously deliver product features from initial concept to final production.

• Extensive experience in building responsive and user-friendly web applications using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.

• Strong grasp of browser fundamentals and contemporary web development practices.

• Experience in designing and utilizing REST APIs.

• Familiarity with integrating third-party services and data sources.

• Proficient SQL skills.

• Experience with PostgreSQL or equivalent relational databases.

• Comfortable handling data-intensive applications and business workflows.

• Proficient in using Git and modern development workflows.

• Strong skills in debugging, troubleshooting, and problem-solving.

• Ability to balance speed and quality in a startup environment.

• Excellent communication skills in English.

• Capable of working independently with minimal supervision.

• Strong sense of accountability and ownership of the product.

• Experience utilizing AI tools such as Cursor, Claude, ChatGPT, GitHub Copilot, or similar tools in the software development process.
