This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Connecticut.
• Collaborate with technical leadership, product managers, program/project managers, and business stakeholders to enhance advanced data capabilities at RTX.
• Integrate APIs, SDKs, and automation initiatives.
• Lead cross-functional teams to implement generative AI, AIOps, GenOps, MLOps, and ML-augmented engineering capabilities into production.
• Ensure that capabilities are designed, implemented, maintained, observed, and supported throughout their lifecycle.
• Maintain both high-level and low-level perspectives of technical systems.
• Coordinate with teams and subject matter experts across various disciplines.
• Design, write, test, and deploy maintainable, automated, scalable, observable, organized, and readable production software.
• Uphold software quality and adhere to CI/CD automation best practices.
• Provide technical support and create user documentation.
• Mentor early- and mid-career team members to advance toward senior and lead positions.
• A University Degree or equivalent experience with a minimum of 12 years of relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field with at least 10 years of experience.
• Over 5 years of experience in data science and machine learning.
• More than 5 years of experience with the Software Development Life Cycle and in software application/product development.
• Proficiency in Python and the Python scientific stack.
• U.S. citizenship is required; only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.
• Experience with AWS and/or Azure is preferred.
• Strong organizational skills for knowledge, documentation, and data management are preferred.
• Additional relevant experience includes SQL, Node, REST APIs, and testing libraries.
• Experience in building products utilizing Large Language Models (LLMs) and LLM APIs is preferred.
• Prior technical leadership experience is preferred.
