This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversee the creation and standardization of Blackbird’s Neuropsychology assessment protocols and benchmarks.
• Perform thorough neuropsychological assessments for children dealing with neurodevelopmental and educational challenges.
• Lead the enhancement of diagnostic pathways for intricate behavioral profiles, ensuring the service line is prepared to address a wide array of developmental presentations.
• Offer expert consultation to all treatment team members (Masters-level clinicians, social workers, Licensed counselors) regarding diagnostic formulation and therapeutic matters associated with neurodevelopmental and cognitive profiles.
• Design and implement Blackbird’s programs, protocols, and standards related to the Neuropsychology service line.
• Assist in establishing and achieving key performance indicators for the Neuropsychology service.
• Maintain a steady clinical presence by providing 24 hours of direct patient-facing clinical care weekly, focusing on comprehensive evaluations.
• Advise on clinical issues as required, along with other assigned responsibilities.
• A Doctoral degree (Ph.D. or Psy.D.) in Clinical Psychology or School Psychology from an APA/CPA-accredited program is mandatory.
• Completion of a 2-year post-doctoral fellowship in Neuropsychology is required.
• Must be licensed or license-eligible as a Psychologist in the state of practice.
• A commitment to becoming certified in all states where Blackbird Health operates is necessary.
• Board Certification in Clinical Neuropsychology (ABCN) or eligibility is strongly preferred.
• A minimum of 1 year of post-licensure experience conducting thorough pediatric neuropsychological evaluations is essential.
• Demonstrated experience or a specialized interest in assessing developmental differences is required.
• Capability to manage a busy clinical schedule, which includes 24 hours of direct patient-facing time each week.
• Proven success in leading and standardizing a specialized clinical service line.
• Computer Skills – Proficient in PC use, including EHRs, spreadsheets, BI and similar reports, email, calendaring, and word processing.
• Interpersonal/Communication Skills - Must read, write, and speak fluently and effectively in English. Effective in both one-on-one and larger group meetings where emotional intelligence and communication skills are vital. Ability to competently present complex diagnostic information and address questions from management, staff, patients, vendors, and the general public. Strong customer service skills, attention to detail, and ability to multitask are required.
• Exceptional clinical expertise and team leadership abilities in client/patient care, particularly in neuropsychological assessment.
