This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina.
• Define and spearhead the technical vision and ownership for mobile application development across various iOS applications.
• Establish best practices for mobile architecture (MVVM-C), performance enhancement, and code quality assurance.
• Guide engineers through code evaluations, design deliberations, and practical coaching.
• Collaborate with product, design, and backend teams to ensure technical solutions align with business goals.
• Take the lead on technical decision-making regarding mobile frameworks, libraries, and tools.
• Design, develop, and maintain iOS applications using Swift and contemporary Apple frameworks (SwiftUI, XCTest).
• Create robust integrations with RESTful APIs and backend services.
• Implement responsive, user-friendly, and high-performance interfaces.
• Utilize native device functionalities, including camera, sensors, and secure storage options.
• Ensure applications perform reliably in real-world scenarios, including fluctuating connectivity.
• Work alongside backend teams to establish API contracts and enhance data interchange.
• Design mobile solutions that accommodate offline-first or occasionally connected scenarios.
• Guarantee secure data management and adherence to healthcare and regulatory standards.
• Contribute to system-level architecture decisions that affect both mobile and backend systems.
• Engage in sprint planning, backlog refinement, and delivery monitoring.
• Promote continuous enhancement in mobile development methodologies, tools, and testing practices.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Over 7 years of software development experience, including 3+ years dedicated to iOS/mobile development.
• Strong command of Swift and the iOS development ecosystem (UIKit and/or SwiftUI).
• Experience in building and utilizing RESTful APIs and working with JSON-based services.
• In-depth knowledge of mobile application architecture, design patterns, and performance optimization.
• Familiarity with mobile app lifecycle, memory management, and concurrency issues.
• Proven track record in leading projects, mentoring engineers, and achieving technical goals.
• Knowledge of version control systems (Git), CI/CD pipelines, and mobile release processes.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Experience in deploying applications to the Apple App Store and managing release workflows.
• Familiarity with barcode or QR code scanning technologies (e.g., CodeCorpSDK).
