This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Take ownership of continuous data entry within designated systems as required by the business.
• Implement our data governance standards and propose new processes and controls to enhance our consistency.
• Acquire a comprehensive understanding of our systems and act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME). This individual will represent Master Data across various functions and assist in onboarding and training new team members.
• Decompose complex, multi-step projects into clear, actionable tasks that can be easily executed by other associates.
• Monitor project progress and provide status updates to the Director and relevant stakeholders.
• Define the scope of new projects as they arise, identifying responsibilities for Master Data and delineating contributions and tasks managed by other teams.
• Facilitate the establishment of new processes that affect Master Data, even when Master Data is not the primary owner of that process.
• Represent the Director and the Master Data team in meetings when necessary.
• Manage the short-term and long-term project tracking for the team. This includes developing tools that enable the team to measure progress as tasks are completed.
• Collaborate with Retail, Operations, Accounting, Finance, and IT to sustain master data, including its creation, modification, cleansing, and enrichment.
• Conduct quarterly audits to ensure data integrity and accuracy.
• Assist with data integration efforts in collaboration with the M&A team.
• Work with both internal and external audit teams to document procedures, address follow-up inquiries, and support ongoing SOX documentation.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in an analyst or associate role within a large corporation or start-up.
• Preferred experience in a cannabis company or multi-state operator; exposure to accounting, procurement, manufacturing, sales, merchandising, or inventory management is essential.
• Familiarity with Epicor, Wherefour, Metrc, Sweed, and/or MJ Freeway is preferred.
• Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required; experience in creating tracking tools or process templates is a plus.
• Experience in a SOX-compliant environment is preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to manage competing deadlines without compromising accuracy or attention to detail is required.
• Experience in leading complex projects that require change management processes and stakeholder follow-up.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, capable of tailoring messages based on the audience, whether they are associates, department managers, or external auditors.
