Lead Java Principal

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Design and spearhead the architecture, development, and rollout of enterprise trading applications.

• Create durable, scalable, and sustainable solutions for intricate systems featuring agentic components.

• Supervise code reviews, testing procedures, and optimizations to ensure optimal performance and reliability.

• Work collaboratively with Development Managers, Engineers, Business Analysts, Project Managers, and external vendors.

• Foster engineering excellence by advocating for contemporary practices such as CI/CD, automation, and agile delivery.

• Drive innovation initiatives and proofs of concept for emerging technologies.

• Tackle critical technical issues to maintain stability and governance.

• Ensure adherence to security standards, regulatory mandates, and Raymond James documentation.

• Conduct proactive analyses aimed at minimizing defects, reducing rework, and enhancing delivery efficiency.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.

• Proficient in English (C2 level) with the capability to communicate effectively in an international setting.

• Experience in software development with a background in technical leadership.

• Proven ability to design and create scalable, high-performance solutions, including applications that incorporate AI components.

• Demonstrated experience with modern programming languages (e.g., Java, C#) and distributed systems.

• Knowledge of financial applications and working within regulated environments.

• Familiarity with CI/CD practices, cloud platforms, and monitoring tools.

• Expertise in Java 17 and Spring Boot.

• Experience with REST services.

• Proficiency in Oracle or SQL databases along with tuning techniques.

• Understanding of microservices architecture.

• Experience with Jenkins and Flyway (via Jenkins).

• Familiarity with IBM MQ or equivalent technologies (e.g., Kafka).
