Lead Java Engineer, Product R&D, Innovation & Ownership

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Malaysia.

📋 Description

• Contribute to the development of our technical roadmap by aligning system architecture and development priorities with our long-term business objectives.

• Engage in software development! We expect you to dedicate 25% of your time to R&D initiatives and product development.

• Promote clean, efficient coding practices by providing thoughtful feedback on pull requests and ensuring the team adheres to high standards.

• Act as a significant multiplier for your team’s productivity.

• Proactively identify inefficiencies and blockers, critically evaluate your team's performance, and offer targeted coaching to help others enhance their skills.

• Collaborate with product and design teams to effectively translate customer requirements into impactful and user-friendly features.

• Take ownership of our systems by identifying inefficiencies, resolving bottlenecks, and ensuring everything operates smoothly.

• Assess new tools, frameworks, and trends to keep us at the cutting edge of innovation and productivity.

⛳️ Requirements

• You have over 8 years of experience working with modern Java SE (17+) and possess in-depth knowledge of the language.

• You have a proven track record of leading teams, mentoring others, and making impactful technical decisions.

• You excel in a team environment and can easily communicate and collaborate with your colleagues.

• You are comfortable working with Linux and Docker.

• You are fully proficient in this environment.

• You are experienced with development tools such as GitHub, Maven, and Kubernetes.

• Bonus points if you have experience with AWS/Azure, PL/PGSQL, MyBatis, Camunda BPMN Engine, REST API frameworks, or other components of our technology stack.

• Extra bonus points if you have experience with AI.
