This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.
• You will take charge of developing an enterprise-level Optimisation and ML-based solution.
• Your role will include selecting technologies, designing APIs, and establishing fundamental patterns within our products and client projects.
• You will assess both functional and non-functional requirements to guide these decisions and lead our development team in their implementation.
• Collaboration with our exceptional Optimisation, Data Science, and Data Engineering teams will enable you to deliver robust, high-quality, and efficient cloud-based solutions for our clients.
• This position is not suited for individuals who do not have a passion for development.
• Our engineers are expected to validate solutions and actively participate in the development team, including code reviews and enhancing our development practices and processes.
• Additionally, you must possess strong communication skills: the role involves direct engagement with our clients and business stakeholders, comprising both technical and non-technical audiences.
• You will be responsible for writing enterprise-quality solutions and should have extensive experience and knowledge of how enterprise software solutions integrate into a broader technical ecosystem.
• You will create hybrid serverless and containerized solutions to implement optimisation, data science, and ML models.
• You will contribute to existing deployment pipelines and cloud Infrastructure as Code (IaC) deployment packages.
• An understanding of customer and business needs is essential to relate them to the technical solutions we develop.
• You will coordinate with customers, product owners, and programme architects to ensure the accuracy and architectural integrity of our work.
• You will make technology and approach decisions that meet non-functional requirements while providing good value for money.
• A comprehensive understanding of Java 17+, Spring, and Spring Boot.
• In-depth knowledge of Azure, including a strong grasp of both containerization and serverless technologies.
• Experience in writing enterprise-quality solutions, with substantial familiarity regarding how enterprise software solutions fit into a broader technical landscape.
• A solid comprehension of traditional Design Patterns and the capability to adapt these concepts to the AI domain.
• A strong advocate for rigorous quality processes, automated testing, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles.
• Excellent communication skills in writing, speaking, and diagramming, with the ability to convey technical and abstract concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Industry experience with an Infrastructure-as-Code platform (e.g., Terraform).
• A robust understanding of both serverless development and containerization methods for deploying software to the cloud.
• Basic knowledge of Python and Terraform, as you will collaborate with Data and Platform specialists and we encourage cross-functional teamwork over silos.
