This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.
• The Lead Information Security Engineer serves as a senior cybersecurity authority charged with safeguarding the organization's digital landscape across product development, manufacturing, and enterprise IT systems.
• This role is responsible for ensuring the security of connected medical and surgical devices, protecting intellectual property, and overseeing regulated environments, all while adhering to cybersecurity guidelines, ISO standards, and international regulations.
• This position is pivotal in facilitating secure product innovation, enhancing patient safety, and ensuring operational resilience throughout the device lifecycle.
• Lead the detection and response efforts for incidents impacting manufacturing systems (OT/ICS), connected medical/surgical devices, and enterprise IT environments.
• Oversee SOC operations with a focus on IT security, production integrity, and the implications for the supply chain.
• Investigate and respond to incidents related to intellectual property theft, disruptions or ransomware impacting production lines, and IT vulnerabilities.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Engineering, IT, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in cybersecurity, preferably within regulated industries or manufacturing settings, including hands-on expertise with SIEM/XDR platforms, endpoint, network, and cloud security, as well as vulnerability and incident response programs.
• In-depth knowledge of security frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001), identity and access management, network segmentation, and Zero Trust principles.
• Experience in the medical device, healthcare technology, or manufacturing sectors (OT/ICS).
• Familiarity with ISO27001, NIS2, SOX, NIST CF 800-53, and EU GDPR.
• Preferred certifications include CISSP, CEH, GIAC, GICSP (Industrial Control Systems), or HCISPP (a strong plus).
• Experience with IT/Production security testing, threat modeling (e.g., STRIDE), and secure SDLC practices.
