Lead Instrumentation & Controls Engineer - Nuclear

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Design and develop Digital Systems, including PLC, DCS, Touchscreens, network switches, and control systems.

• Create functional and implementation requirements along with procurement specifications for control systems in nuclear plants.

• Collaborate with the client to ensure effective project execution and client satisfaction.

• Prepare and evaluate technical reports, calculations, and studies to convey information clearly and concisely to meet client expectations.

• Oversee resource management and loading, and formulate estimates for task completion and budget planning.

• Assist in the preparation and development of proposals.

• Draft and assess diagrams and drawings for new and upgraded control solutions.

• Analyze vendor bids from a technical viewpoint.

• Collaborate with vendors for document reviews, ensure equipment meets specifications and requirements of the plant, and oversee FAT performance on behalf of the client.

• Facilitate project implementation at the client’s facilities.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical, or Nuclear Engineering from an ABET accredited institution.

• A minimum of 10 years of experience in Instrumentation & Control Design Engineering.

• Professional Engineering license is preferred.

• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

• Strong technical knowledge of available equipment and established pre-engineered systems for effective systems design.

• Experience acting as the firm's client liaison in a support or leading engineering capacity.

• Background in reviewing design documentation.
