This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• This Instrumentation & Control (I&C) role provides the chance to engage in upgrading and modernizing nuclear power plants using the most advanced control technologies available in the industry.
• You will be responsible for both leading and assisting in small and large controls projects, emphasizing technical execution and effective project management.
• These initiatives will necessitate collaboration with mechanical, electrical, and structural teams to successfully complete the project.
• Your responsibilities will include investigating, troubleshooting, and resolving a diverse range of controls engineering challenges.
• Develop designs for digital systems, including PLC, DCS, HSI, and networked computer systems.
• Prepare functional and implementation requirements for control systems, along with procurement specifications for nuclear plant control systems.
• Engage with clients to ensure proper execution of projects and maintain client satisfaction.
• Prepare and review technical reports, calculations, and studies to present information clearly and concisely to meet client specifications.
• Manage resources and resource loading while developing estimates for task completion and budget planning.
• Assist in the preparation of proposals.
• Prepare and review diagrams and drawings for new and upgraded control solutions.
• Evaluate vendor proposals from a technical standpoint.
• Collaborate with vendors to conduct document reviews, verify equipment compliance with specifications and plant requirements, and oversee FAT performance on behalf of the client.
• Support the implementation of projects at client facilities.
• A Bachelor of Science degree in engineering from an ABET accredited program.
• A minimum of 12 years of experience in the design engineering of instrumentation and controls systems within a project team setting for commercial and industrial applications, focusing on integrated and detailed system design modifications.
• A Professional Engineering license is preferred.
• Strong ability to communicate effectively in both verbal and written forms.
• Technical knowledge of available equipment and established pre-engineered systems to facilitate systems design.
• Experience acting as the firm's client liaison in a support or leading engineering capacity.
